Main ingredients
2 eggs
2 teaspoon vegetable oil
4 tablespoon dark sesame oil
¼ teaspoon ginger, minced
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
2 chicken breast, cut into ½ inch small strips
1 cup carrots, shredded
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon black pepper
3 green onions, white and green, chopped
4 cups jasmine rice cooked
½ cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon hoisin sauce
1 cup bean sprouts
Step by step instructions
Follow these proven steps to make this your own
Step1- Cook eggs
Whisk eggs with 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil. In a pan heat rest of the vegetable oil on medium-high heat. Add the whisked egg and scramble. Remove from the wok and keep it aside.
Step2- Stir fry Chicken
Heat sesame oil in a large wok on medium-high heat. Add ginger and garlic and sauté. Do not brown. Immediately add chicken and toss for a few minutes until it is not pink anymore. Season with salt and pepper.
Step3- Add Vegetables and Stir-fry
Add carrots to the cooked chicken and toss for a minute. Add green onions and toss again lightly.
Step4- Add Rice and Stir Fry
Now add the cooked rice, soy sauce, and hoisin sauce. Stir fry everything on high heat.
Step5- Add Egg and Beansprout
Add the scrambled egg and lightly combine. Finally, add bean sprouts and toss again. Remove from heat.
Step6- Serve
For plating put the fried rice in serving bowl. Put some fresh green onion greens for garnishing. Serve hot.
